What are the types of the alopecia areata?

Like all other diseases, the hair diseases also have great varieties and adversities. The diseases of the scalp (enfermedades del cuero cabelludo) also vary depending upon the circumstances the patient is in. The androgenic alopecia is one of its types that are caused because of the disturbance in the genetic makeup. It is caused by theinefficient working ofthe enzyme that converts the testosterone into its derivatives. As the result, it shrinks the follicles of the hair and results in hair loss. It is inherited to the child from the parent and can be observed at the teenage or the early twenties.


The Alopecia Universalis hair diseases (enfermedades del cabello) that is not confined to the scalp only. It is the disease in which the hair throughout the body start to shed. On the initial stages, the hair start to fall from the portions of the scalp and cover the whole scalp as it progresses. In the severe cases, when the condition is left unchecked and is not treated at the proper time, also cause the hair fall from the eyebrows too. The traction alopecia is the type of scalp diseases (enfermedades cuero cabelludo) which is caused due to tension. One of the most common causes in females is tight braiding and the ponytail of the hair. The use of chemicals also causes it.
The scalp skin diseases (cuero cabelludo enfermedades), result in the permanent loss of hair, in some cases. The ciatricial alopecia is condition in which a permanent loss of hair occurs. In this situation, the hair follicles, which are the basis of the hair, are destroyed and the point is replaced by a scar tissue. The main causes of this are inflammation at the site of the follicles. Other reasons also include the burning and the infection at the follicles. This is a severe form of hair disease.
